After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. While she appears to be a normal Human, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Brewer for the past few years.
