History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Ploughman. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Adelaide grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Adelaide. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
