History: Born in the east to a Dilettante, Bertram learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Dilettante. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Dilettante for hire.

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.
