History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature kukri.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. In her 14th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Emmeline alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She tends to her Dyer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.
