The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. Through the years after Heward was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Heward's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. The war was a terrible time for him, and Raymond does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. Her first spouse was a Bookbinder, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Bookbinder they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Cook, and she later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and doesn't want to be a cook and was forced into it by her family
