Personality: Matilda is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. A fanatic, her devotion to her small selection of gods is unquestionable. She claims to be doing their will and will base all her actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Matilda hails from a village terrorized by giants. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.

History: Born in the south to a Herbalist, Oriel learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Her childhood dream was to be a Courier, but she was a colossal failure. She struck the Herbalist job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Herbalist responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bookbinder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature crossbow.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
