History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She was born in the west. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Being a Detective kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and to end her boredom

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She was taken from her home at a very young age. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and a strong sense of loyalty to human people
