History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Being a Slave Trader kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: When she was but 6 years old her parents immigrated from the north. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and to share knowledge with the world

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Jane isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and nothing but the best is good enough for her
