She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

History: He was born in the south. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
