History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Agnes grew up listening to her father's many stories. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Roland was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and he seems to be bored by most things
