History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture.

History: Richard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
