History: Born in the north to a Soapmaker, Rolf learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He worked as a nervous Soapmaker and found it very stressful. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Barber they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Soapmaker, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and his religion dominates his actions

Description: A woman with a friendly, welcoming air about her, she wears a simple grey robe with green stripes complete with hood. Her hair is chestnut and very short. This blue eyed easterner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying east to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away; and a deep hatred of dire rats
