History: Hubert was born the youngest of three triplets. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Hubert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. He takes great joy in being the best Spice Merchant in town.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Spice Merchant responsibilities is difficult.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Heward was born on a far eastern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Marshal. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and to find somewhere to settle down
