History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and many brigands want him driven away

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Ernest grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He struck the Mason job and began his own company from there.
