Personality: Godfrey is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He works hard and plays hard.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Bricklayer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Bricklayer work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Bookbinder they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Knight, and she later adopted a second daughter.
