History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
