Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. The war was a terrible time for him, and Gilbert does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Gilbert was born the youngest of three triplets. He worked as a nervous Soapmaker and found it very stressful. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Lewis lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Ploughman. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Ploughman and was forced into it by his family; and he wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away

Personality: She trusts no one. She is not readily capable for forgiveness and her ire never leaves her. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. A gifted student she started as a Mason, but she got bored and became a Guard. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and she is unsatisfied with her job

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his singing with anyone who is interested.

History: Henry hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and to reunite with his absent mother
