History: Born in the south to a Marshal, Gilbert learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Gilbert was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was born into a rich family. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Cecily alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and she wants revenge against giants
