History: She was born into a rich family. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Egelina lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.

He has gleaming, smiling brown eyes.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Soapmaker for the past few years.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and he is unsatisfied with his job

History: She comes from a rich southern family. A gifted student she started as a Tanner, but she got bored and became a Guard. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.
