History: Balimaar hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and someone believes him a fraud

History: Born to a Sellsword, his mother struggled to pay the bills.
