History: He was born in the north. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it.

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Barrister work with an outfit from a few towns over. Barrister work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She tends to her Barrister job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.
