Description: She is scrawny and has patchy chestnut stubble. She wears dark leathers with embroidery. She has a hunchback. Her chestnut hair is lengthy. She has gleaming, smiling green eyes.
Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Joan embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.
History: She was born into a rich family. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of her oldest sister, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She now mingles about in high society.
Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Description: Standing 5'2", this man usually wears his tan robe and has his ceremonial dagger always slung over his shoulder. He wears a top hat to hide his balding. His green eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.
Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.
History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Description: A moderately attractive woman, she wears a white vest with golden trim over her white shirt. Her black leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and her white boots flare out at the collars. Her auburn hair, when down, is lengthy. Her gray eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.
Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.
History: Matilda hails from a village terrorized by illithids. When Matilda reached her early adolescence her Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Matilda was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.
Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids.

Description: She is a mite stocky and wears yellow leather gloves, a yellow jacket, and tight pants. She sports silver long hair. Her eyes are likewise amber.
Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.
History: She was raised in a forest tribe. Emmeline liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Emmeline fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother
