History: Avice hails from a village terrorized by drow. In her youth she was a Map Maker, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger brother on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Avice fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Many drow want her driven away; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and she desires to right it

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and he has a crush on the local crown-heir

Description: The woman speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. She seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if she got out from a pool a few moments ago. She wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. She has wavy blonde hair. Her face is scarred and worn.

Personality: Her voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl she speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of her tone. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and retire the richest woman in the west

Description: He does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when he can avoid it. He is portly but not overly obese. His white hair is singed and shortened. His eyes are amber and catlike.

Personality: He is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, he's a very lovable idiot. A true patriot, Lewis would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
