History: Gilbert was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Brewer. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Trym was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her father was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He now spends his time doing works of charity.
