His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He's also a talented Spice Merchant, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Description: A man of a pale complexion, he likes to wear ponchos typically of a light black in addition to tight pants. He has no hair. He has several tiny amethyst earrings on each ear.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Raymond is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Raymond was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared.
