History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Miles grew up listening to his father's many stories. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Theobald was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
