Description: She is of a modest build and height, but she carries herself more imposing than she is. She is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright blue and grey, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. She is bald on top and has large brown tufts of hair around her ears. Her gray eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: Joan is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Soapmaker work with an outfit from a few towns over. Soapmaker work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She's also a talented Dilettante, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with poetry. He constantly tries to fill his life with poetry. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: To settle down with his crush; and to prove his worth to the world

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.

History: Born in the north to a Server, Helen learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Through the years after Helen was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Helen's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Server responsibilities is difficult; and to be a seamstress again
