Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Hugh embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Hugh lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Raymond was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: He is a Engraver first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. In his 13th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Engraver for hire.
