History: Melissa hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he seems to be bored by most things
