History: Thomas was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Courier hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.

History: She was born in a small mountains village. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Agnes was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: Regain custody of her son; and wishes to resurrect an old love
