History: Roland was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Roland grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Roland. Being a Carpenter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature dagger.

History: The child of a Soapmaker, who enjoyed hunting, Helen was taken on many hunting expeditions. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 7 years.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and she is unsatisfied with her job
