After coming to the age of reason, Jacoba took it upon herself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

History: Agnes was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Agnes was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it; and many illithids want her driven away
