History: Born in the north her family was never financially stable. A freak accident while working with her Bather mother left her crippled. During her travels, Melissa and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Melissa discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Melissa fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

Personality: She hates Humans with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: Avelina was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Being a Body Guard kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out
