Description: This southern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears green painted combat armor at almost all times. His hair, while still mostly chestnut, has prominent grey streaks. His gray eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and he wants revenge against illithids

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and many goblins want him driven away

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She's also a talented Stableman, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To be a Stableman again; and she has money and likes to spend it
