Description: She wears suspenders and tan workpants. Her shirt is grey, and she wears a heavy tan leather apron most of the time. Her attire stands in sharp contrast to her ceremonial dagger, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a skull on it. She is bald on top and has large golden tufts of hair around her ears. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Miner arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her parents were killed by illithids in a raid when she was still a young child. The illithids captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Thomas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He struck the Carter job and began his own company from there.

Description: An imposing woman with a heavy stainless steel prosthetic right hand, she is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. Her brown hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. Her gray eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. The occasional robbery is her preferred attention getting crime, but she mainly uses her means for meeting her own perverse desires.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. The war was a terrible time for him, and Roland does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. When Roland reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
