History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Kody grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Kody. Being a Jeweler kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Jane grew up listening to her father's many stories. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 15 years.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Chad was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to giants.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
