History: Roland was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Miller hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he has decided he is irredeemable

History: The child of a Detective, who enjoyed hunting, Randal was taken on many hunting expeditions. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.

Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He is wearing a tight grey one piece outfit complete with pants, hood, and a cape. He keeps his long black hair kept up in a rat tail. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving William alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and he wants revenge against illithids
