History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He was born in a small forest village. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and a deep hatred of gnolls

Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He wears a brown coat over a red low-cut shirt, and a deerstalker hat upon his head. He has styled his golden hair well, parting it to the left. His eyes are amber and catlike.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Hunter grew up listening to his father's many stories. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Hunter took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up shield and armor he uses now. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Hunter fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, John's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. John grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did John. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and a rival would like him out of the picture
