History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the south. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. History: Emma was born with her mother's beautiful face. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with writing. She constantly tries to fill her life with writing. She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
