History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He now owns his own business.

Personality: She hates illithids. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She takes great pride in her work and is very well organized. Her planner is full of calendar events.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
