History: Born in the east to a Carter, Bertram learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Carter work with an outfit from a few towns over. Carter work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Katherine fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her parents were killed by goblins in a raid when she was still a young child. The goblins captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Chad will drive conversation. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Chad has worked very hard to control his curse. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.
