The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: Born in the south to a Mortician, Trey learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Mortician.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Her childhood dream was to be a Scribe, but she was a colossal failure. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Arnold was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero.
