History: Born in the north to a Fletcher, Conrad learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Dean hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Dean has worked very hard to control his curse. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the west; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
