History: A child with a great deal of painting talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Katherine grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying sister.
