History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Charles was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Gerard was a troubled youth.
