History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Herleva was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it

History: Avice was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. History: She was born in the south. She became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.
