Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Cartwright but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Bernard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Bernard was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Bernard decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Cartwright for hire.

Personality: She is intelligent and cunning, but she will too often allow her rage to get the better of her. She will lose her cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. She is ready at a moment's notice to give into her darker urges. She is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. She often ends up burning people alive in the fires she starts.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
