History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Through the years after Miles was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Miles's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and he is content
