History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Gunter took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up sword and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Through the years after Shane was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Shane's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and a rival would like him out of the picture
