History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When Heward reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Joan grew up listening to her father's many stories. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature hammer.

History: Simon was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Marshal. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and many drow want him driven away

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He was taken from his home at a very young age. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. William fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
